As a bit of an intro there is a current popular trend among tanks, primarily warriors and paladins, that they should be setting up their gear so that they are reforging, enchanting and gemming primarily for avoidance and mitigation with almost total disregard to the hit and expertise caps or at least aiming for targets much lower then the caps. The reason people are doing this is because vengeance is way overpowered it seems like, even with misses our threat is still ridiculous in comparison to what most dps can put out. My question being, was this the design teams intent? Should we really just disregard hit and expertise?
I personally think that hit and expertise are important for reasons other then threat generation and I understand why vengeance is there and think that it was a cool addition but was it really intended to push hit and expertise out the window, was it really intended to make threat and subsequently tank hit and expertise a non-concern or rather less of a concern? Is a vengeance nerf coming?
